Richard C. Lewis
(July 26, 1936 - February 17, 2026)

Born on July 26, 1936 in Chicago, IL to Richard and Genevieve Lewis.  In 1955, Richard married his wife, Patricia (nee Ruguone) and together shared 69 years of marriage filled with cherished memories.

Richard first worked for the Illinois Dept of Transportation Roadside Assistance and then worked and retired from School District 92 (Lockport) where he worked for over 30 years as custodian and then head custodian for the district.  He was handy, very generous and always helping others with any small project.

He loved his 1930's and 40's music. He enjoyed facts, trivia and history and loved to share that information with family and friends.  He had a great sense of humor and loved to be a jokester.  Richard sometimes gave off a tough persona but ultimately, he was a devoted loving family man with a gentle heart towards his dogs.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia R.; his parents, Richard and Genevieve Lewis; siblings, Kenneth Lewis, Raymond F. Lewis, John Pankow, David Pankow, Genevieve Wright and Florence Gilbert; many other dear deceased family members.

Survived by his loving daughter, Christine (Jeffrey) Dyszczakowski; siblings, Bonnie Billoni, Laura Lasser and Roger Pankow; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
