Rickie S. "Rick" Casteel

Age 62, late of Lockport passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 17, 2023, surrounded by his family. Born in Joliet and a lifelong Lockport area resident. Employed by Graham Packaging for many dedicated years. A proud United States Army Veteran.

Preceded in death by his beloved son, Daniel Casteel (1990); and his parents, Charles and Francis (Nee Warren) Casteel.

Survived by his devoted wife, Beverly (Nee Watts) Casteel; three loving children, Rickie Casteel, Katie (late fiancé Tommy May) Casteel, and Austin (Kelly) Casteel; two cherished step children, Larry (Candice) Dempsey, and Jennifer (Brad) Zuppa; nine adored grandchildren, David, Sonya (Derek), Matthew, Jeffrey, Kayla, Gabrielle, Laynah, Braden, and Logan; four treasured great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Isabella, Declan, and Amelia; one brother, Joe (Darlene) Casteel; two sisters, Sue (Jamie Mines) Kingery, and Teresa (Jim) Majewski; and numerous other cherished family members and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 12:00noon in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel 1105 E. 9 ^th St. Lockport, IL 60441 with Lightways Hospice Chaplain Rebecca Love officiating.

Following Service Interment will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.

Visitation in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.
