Robert E. "Rob" Stevens

Age 57, late of Lockport passed away peacefully on Friday, September 22, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Elmhurst, raised in La Grange, lived in Willowbrook, and was a resident of Lockport for 10 years. Employed by Suburban Truck Parts in Worth for the past four years, former Branch Manager at FleetPride in Mokena, and worked at Freightliner in Elmhurst, and Peterbuilt of Chicago. He enjoyed playing computer military strategy games. He was an avid Chicago White Sox fan, Chicago Bears fan and was a season ticket holder. He coached little league baseball in Downers Grove for many years which brought him so much joy. Rob was a devoted son, brother, brother-in-law and uncle.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Preceded in death by his father, Ralph S. Stevens (2022); his paternal grandparents, Margaret and Rudy Stevens; and his maternal grandparents, Marian and Clarence Fogarty.

Survived by his loving mother, Roberta "Bobby" (Nee Fogarty) Stevens of Lockport; two cherished brothers, Joe (Amanda) Stevens of Woodridge, and Jim Stevens of Lisle; two adored nieces, Sam and Taylor Stevens and numerous cherished family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Disabled American Veterans in Robert's name would be greatly appreciated.

Cremation Rites have been respectfully addressed.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023, in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel 1105 E. 9th St., Lockport, IL 60441 from 3:00pm until 8:00pm. Everyone will meet at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church 36 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville, IL 60540 on Friday, October 20, 2023, for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am.
