Robert William Solley, age 96, of Crest Hill, passed away December 25, 2021.

Survived by his loving children, Janice (William) Brill, Patricia (Garrett) Nagel and Michael Solley; his grandchildren, Katherine (Steven) Schuetz, Anne (Neil) Bossard, Elizabeth (John) Belsan and Caralin (fiancé Todd Anderko) Nagel; great-grandchildren, Evan, Carter and Aubrey Belsan, and Nora and Alice Bossard along with nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his wife, Julia Solley; his parents, George Sr. and Mary Solley; his siblings, Henry (Mary) Solley, George Jr. Solley, Norman (Marge) Solley, Edward (Marge) Solley, Evelyn (Myles) Murray and infant Harold Solley.

Robert was a graduate of St. Joseph Grade School in Lockport and Lockport Township High School, Class of 1943 where he played baseball, basketball and football.  He married Julia in 1946 and they spent 73 happy years together.  He was an usher at St. Dennis Church for many years and was devoted to his Catholic faith.  Employed at the Texaco Refinery in Lockport, retiring in 1981. He was a lifelong White Sox fan and always enjoyed a good pizza.

Visitation Thursday, December 30, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 410 S. Jefferson St., Lockport from 9:00am to 10:00am with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am.  Interment Calvary Cemetery, Lockport.  In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph Church appreciated.
