Robert Jon Szymanski Sr.

Age 59, late Lockport passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 17, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Chicago, lived in Bolingbrook, Berwyn, Stickney, and a resident of Lockport since 2001. A proud United States Army Veteran. Member of the Lockport Moose Lodge #1557. An avid fisherman, outdoorsmen and loved riding his bike.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kimberley (Nee: Kordick) Szymanski (2015); his father, Anthony F. Szymanski Sr.; and a brother, Anthony F. Szymanski Jr.

Survived by three devoted children, Colleen (Kyle Zolp) Szymanski, Robert Szymanski Jr., and James (Randi Ziegler) Szymanski; eight adored grandchildren, Rebecca Cameron, Stephen Cameron Jr., Candice Cameron, Kaylee Cameron, Rylee Zolp, James Szymanski Jr., Triniti Szymanski, and Myles Szymanski; his mother, Dorothy (Nee: Walton) Szymanski; one brother, John Szymanksi; and two sisters, Lois and Cynthia Szymanski.

Inurnment for Robert and his late wife, Kimberley will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery 20953 Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421 with full Military Honors on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, promptly at 10:00am.
