Robert "Bob" C. Zander Sr.

Age 74, late of Lockport passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Chicago, lived in Evergreen Park, Blue Island, and a resident of Lockport for many years. Bob was a very talented Painter and a member of the Chicago Painters and Decorators Union.  United States Vietnam Army Veteran. Member of the Lemont VFW post # 5819. He enjoyed fishing, loved his dogs and cat, hanging with friends at Uncle Richie's, but above all else cherished spending time with his family.

Preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Coletta (Nee Farrell) Zander.

Survived by his devoted former wife, Mary Ann Zander; two loving children, Robert Jr. (Alyssa) Zander of Branson, MO, and Joseph (Laken) Zander of Lockport; one cherished granddaughter, Harper Zander; one brother, Christopher (Cynthia) Zander; and two sisters, Claudia (William) Jezyk and Janice (Gary) Skrobot.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Zander family would be appreciated.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021, in the O'Neil Funeral Home chapel 1105 E. 9 ^th St. Lockport, IL at 12:30pm. Interment following services at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.

Visitation will be in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, November 7, 2021, from 3:00pm until 6:00pm
