Ronald R. Nelson

"The Mister"

Age 74, late of Lemont formerly of Crete and Rock Island. Left us on September 21, 2020 to make his tee time in heaven. Loving father of, Andrew (Nina), Katelyn, Steven (Beth) Pierson, and Kristin; he is survived by his partner in crime, Christine Lempa and her daughters, April (Mike) Sierak and June (Patrick) Tucker, cherished grandfather of, Luca, Molly, Brett, Matthew, Anthony, Zach, Chelsea, and Gavin; dearest brother of, Gary (Karen) Nelson; fond uncle of, Sara (Charles) Olson and Jeff (Trinh) Nelson. Preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Lucille Nelson and his late wife Patricia Nelson. Ron was retired from Tramco Pump and a long-time starter for the Links of Carillon. "The Mister" will always be remembered for his passion for golf, bowling, running, the Chicago Bears, the Chicago White Sox, and the Iowa Hawkeyes. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ronald's name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be greatly appreciated.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2020 in the O'Neil Funeral Home chapel 1105 E. 9 ^th St., Lockport, IL., 60441 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. A private service and burial will be held with his beloved family in attendance.
