Rosalina Maldonado

Age 89, late of Lockport, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, 25, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, lived in Chicago most of her life, before moving to Lockport in 2016. Rosalina was a kind and loving soul and will be dearly missed by her family. She enjoyed shopping, telenovelas, cooking, telling stories about her adored childhood, growing up on a farm in Puerto Rico, but most of all cherished spending time with her family.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jose Maldonado (2015); her sisters, Elisa Maldonado, Ana V. Maldonado, and Isabel Maldonado; and one brother, Armando Maldonado.

Survived by her devoted children, Marilia (Gery) Maurisak, and Richard (Nancy) Maldonado; her six loving grandchildren, Gery Jr., Michael (Kelly), Joseph, Elizabeth (Andrew), Spencer (Stefania), Morgan (Grayson); three adored great grandchildren, Adrian, Genevieve, and Abigail; and her cherished siblings, Celia Nieves, Angel Maldonado, Josefa Maldonado, and Olga Maldonado. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022, in the O'Neil Funeral Home chapel 1105 E. 9 ^th St. Lockport, IL 60441 from 9:00am until time of service 10:30am with Chaplain Rebecca Love officiating.

Interment following service at Good Shepherd Cemetery, Orland Park.
