Rosemary T. Tonelli

(nee Van Horn)

Age 95, of Lockport passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Lightways Hospice Inpatient Unit surrounded by her loving family. Devout member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church where she was active with many organizations within the church. She volunteered countless hours at Providence Catholic High School. Rosemary enjoyed sewing, jigsaw puzzles, sudoku, watching sports especially her children's and grandchildren's events and was always their biggest fan.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband Theodore T. "Ted" Tonelli (2015); her parents, Neal and Rose (nee Sievert) Van Horn; two brothers, John Van Horn and Earl Van Horn.

Survived by her loving children, Sharon (late Patrick) Ratkovich, Susan Tonelli, Daniel (late Kim) Tonelli, Sandra (Charles) Gonzalez, Theodore (Mary) Tonelli, and Sally (Jeff) Wold; her cherished grandchildren, Mary (Dale) Randle, Mike (Kari) Ratkovich, Carissa (Ryan) Murphy, Jillian (Arthur) Strauss, Nicole (Sean) Oakley, Julia (Brad) Mayer, Anthony (Dana) Tonelli and Natalie (Jeremy) Gregorec; 14 adored great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish (St. Mary Magdalene) or Lightways Hospice in Rosemary's name would be greatly appreciated. Cremation Rites have been respectfully addressed.

Everyone will meet at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish (St. Mary Magdalene) 201 S. Briggs St. Joliet, IL 60433 on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 9:45am for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Inurnment following Mass at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Romeoville. Memorial visitation in the O'Neil Funeral Home chapel 1105 E. 9th St. Lockport, IL 60441 on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.
