(nee Ethell)

Age 79, of Lockport passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026. Born in Horseshoe Bend, Idaho, raised in the Chicago suburbs, lived in Oak Lawn for many years and a resident of Lockport since 2001. Attended weekly Mass at Our Mother of Good Counsel Church, Homer Glen. Graduated from Reavis High School, Burbank where she made many lifelong friends. She was very active, a longtime member of the Orland Park Health and Fitness Center and cherished all her friendships made at the health club over the years. Loved sewing, quilting, traveling; and was so proud of visiting all 50 States. Sandy's pride and joy was her grandchildren; she found so much joy in attending all their events and was always their biggest fan. She loved going to parties, was very social, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel DiSabato; her parents, Sheldon and Mary (nee Covelaski) Ethell.

Survived by her two devoted children, Stephanie (Mark) Nienhuis, and Daniel Jr. (Mike) DiSabato; three adored grandchildren, Jared and Tyler Nienhuis, and Emily Grudecki; one sister, Sue Ethell; a brother, Bob Ethell; and numerous cherished family members and friends.
