Vivian M. "Viv" Wojtas
(nee Brown)

Age 90, late of Lockport, passed peacefully on May 8, 2023 after a long brave battle with cancer. Born February 24, 1933, raised around Delevan Lake, Wisconsin. Married Henry F. Wojtas in 1957 having a good life until his passing in 1998. Lived in Lockport for 60+ years before moving to East Peoria 5 years ago. She was a member of St Dennis Church where she was in the church choir and the Altar and Rosary Society. A former member of the Lockport Moose Lodge 1557. She worked for Wescom/Rockwell International for 19 years, leaving there to later work for Panduit in Lockport for 7 years before retiring in 1998. Vivian loved playing Bingo and got much joy from birdwatching; she loved all animals. Even though she was battling cancer she lived her life to its fullest. The last 14 years she was an avid traveler. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceded in death by her husband, Henry F. Wojtas; her parents, George C. Brown and Anita Roeker (nee Schmear); one granddaughter, Chi Ann Burgett; 2 brothers, Kenneth Brown and Howard Brown and one sister Barbara Paulson (nee Brown)

Survived by her children: Linda Hernandez of Savanna, IL;  Tim (Sharon) Kitzmann of Pittsville WI; Darlene (Brian) Perkins of East Peoria IL; Henry (Estela) Wojtas of Plainfield IL; Her cherished Grandchildren, John III (Donna) Burgett of Lockport IL, Lindsey (AL Jr) Smith of Joliet IL, Jose III (Mary) Hernandez, Brittany (Anthony) Fisher of East Peoria IL; thirteen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; her siblings Mary Ann (Richard) Grogh of Crystal lake IL, Betty Lou (James) Householder of Janesville WI, George A (Josephine Lewis) Brown of California, Janet Splinter of Janesville WI, Virginia (Ginny) Grant of Janesville WI. Survived by her friend and soulmate Raymond J Stas.
